Remote Learning - Year 4
Our Year 4 online learning team is led by Miss Cross. We are using Google Classroom to deliver our online curriculum which is the same curriculum that the children in school are receiving.
Every week, we will upload a weekly timetable setting out the learning for each day. This includes daily differentiated work in reading, writing and maths, as well as weekly lessons which cover the wider curriculum.
Each week, like the previous lock-down, the Wold team will contact you to check that everything is going well and to see if there is anything else we can do to help. Furthermore, they will be available through Google Classroom marking the children's work and answering questions.
Please make sure that you join us for our live assemblies each week – this is a great opportunity to connect with others and celebrate the fantastic progress our Year 4 pupils are making! We have several live sessions each week; these range from class novel reading sessions to live lessons and are shown in the weekly timetable below.
If children are self-isolating, there is an expectation that children still complete work daily following the timetable of their class and return work through Google Classroom, so that the teacher can give summary feedback about areas for improvement. If your child is ill and unable to work, please let us know.
If the year group bubble has to close, there is an expectation that children will move to remote learning and continue to follow the timetable.
Please get in touch with us via Class Dojo/MCAS or by calling the school. We are here to support your child’s learning and wellbeing in any way we can.
